We came, we saw... we ate SPAM
Ah, WWCYC (Lander) Camp has come and gone, but many memories remain... like the Spam and chug contest (teams competed to see who could eat a full can of spam and drink a two liter of Mountian Dew [well, mountain dew equivalent from Walmart]), or the SPAM commercials, hanging out with kids (Team 2... hehe), and learning about God. The theme was SPAM - Study, Pray, and Memorize... It was good, clean fun... except when it was dirty... like the spam and chug, or capture the spam, or spam volleyball...
Anyway, I'm back in Riverton, working part-time (mornings) with Green-Way lawns, and doing the youth ministry for Riverton Christian Church. Both seem to be going well, although I am getting worn out, but that's probably just left over from being at camp (hopefully). I've been meeting with an awesome guy named Stew Harwood that's here in Riverton for an internship, he's a really cool guy, on fire for God and everything ;). Anyway, he'll be teaching this week's lesson for Youth Group, so I'm looking forward to that (and it gives me time to prepare for next weeks, hehe). So, yea, mad props to Stew... thanks man.
Maybe you know Gabriel Tyce Bruton, maybe you don't. He'll be performing here in Riverton sometime in August... and Gabe doesn't know this yet, but the owner of the Ledge (where he'll be playing) heard him singing and asked who it was, so now he's all excited about having Gabe come down... so that's cool. Also, Gabe doesn't know that we plan to have the Elitch's trip in August and he'd be invited to go (free of charge, b/c he'd be a sponsor). Maybe he's reading this... maybe not...
Oh, and one final note... the Riverton Christian Church website is finally back up... check it out at:
